Caralluma Review
Unlike Hoodia, Faseolamina Caralluma Burn argue that it's a clinically proven appetite suppressant fat burner. Faseolamina Caralluma is in some ways very similar to other caralluma and hoodia products in its website design and advertising layout. Unfortunately you are presented with the same mix or personal testimonials, quotes from Oprah and Dr Nicholas Perricone regarding several "instrumental" ingredients and several logos of recognized media companies (BBC,CNN,CBS etc..) |

Caralluma Review:
This is mainly due to the fact that they both employ the same same marketing savvy advertisers, MarketHealth.
So, more importantly, because Caralluma Burn state that it's clinically proven, what does this mean?
Let's have a look at the product information...
i) Fibriate Caralluma: Caralluma make much of their fat burning powers new "innovative" ingredient. From the information available at hand though, all I have been able to gather is the following report from Pubmed.com regarding Caralluma's claim: (see Appetite. 2007 May;48(3):338-44. Epub 2006 Nov 13). It concludes...
"While there was a trend towards a greater decrease in body weight, body mass index, hip circumference, body fat and energy intake between assessment time points in the experimental group, these were not significantly different between experimental and placebo groups. Caralluma extract appears to suppress appetite, and reduce waist circumference when compared to placebo over a 2 month period."
This can obviously be regarded as a positive report. Although not earth shattering, Pubmed, which holds an impressive weight in the medical testing community appear to give this Caralluma review its moderate support.
Whilst Caralluma is listed first (weight loss supplement ingredients are listed in order of prominence), there are five additional products listed here. What this might suggest is that these other ingredients could be seen as "window dressing" the product and/or adding additional strength to this diet pill depending on their dosage level.
These additional ingredients are:
1) Green Tea Extracts (EGGG 50%): The essential catching EGGG and green tea extracts have demonstrated to be helpful weight loss supplements. Although, as they state that Caralluma is the "key" ingredient here, it is doubtful that the dosage level here is of that much of a percentage to really help a great deal in weight loss.
2) Cocoa Extracts: The feel good factor which Caralluma refer to probably derive this feeling from this ingredient. Because cocoa contains phenylethylamine (PEA), which is chemically related to amphetamine, what little amount enters the blood stream may offer a slightly euphoric effect. However, it must be noted that PEA is metabolized by the enzyme monamine oxidase, which in effect prevents all but the smallest amounts entering the blood stream.
The cocaa extracts in this case are standardized for theobromine, I-tyrosine, caffeine and a few other treats. While tyrosine can offer mood elevating experiences and caffeine is a proven thermogenic (weight loss suppressant), it is doubtful considering the size of the dosage here that these will elicit much of an effect.
3) Cayenne: The chemical which gives chile peppers their "spice" can best be explained by the following study by Pubmed.com:
(Am J Physiol Regul Integr Comp Physiol. 2007 Jan;292(1):R77-85. Epub 2006 Jul 13)...
"Capsaicin has been shown to be effective, yet when it is used clinically it requires a strong compliance to a certain dosage, that has not been shown to be feasible yet."
So in order for cayenne (which has been standardized for capsaican) to have any effect on your metabolism, it must be used in dosages much higher to offer any practical help.
4) ATP: Also medically known as adenosine triphosphate, is a nucleotide which is present in all your cells throughout your your body. ATP's roles are vast and complex but in short this nucleotide plays a part in muscle contraction, cardiac function to the metabolism of glycogen in your liver and cellular metabolism.
Does adenosine triphosphate assist in weight loss? Well I could not find any material available online to support that it does except the following article with reference to a clinical study relating to small cell lung cancer patients, who found ATP helps mitigate weight loss.
ATP's benefits therefore will be minimal as the formula is most probably comprised xanthines and caffeine which are antagonists on the cell surface receptors of adenosine - (Anesthesiology 2002;97:938-43).
5) Slimaluma: Caralluma's originally patented version is included here in such a small dosage that it seems of little point including it except, as explained earlier to "window dress" Caralluma.
Caralluma Review:
Bottom Line:
What your left with really at the end of the day is only one validated study of an ingredient which is claimed to be the "key" wonder drug and small if not minimal amount of a few useful ingredients most notably green tea.
Therefore, in short, whilst there is some evidence there to back up Caralluma's claims that it's an effective weight loss slimming pill, I would only partially recommend it as there are a number of more effective weight loss supplement pills on the market at a considerably cheaper price, with stronger credible customer feedback and sales history reports: See one of three products of preferred choice listed below:
Product 1
Product 2
Product 3
*As someone who has done significant research into weight loss supplements sold "online" I would personally only recommend this product with some hesitancy. While some testimonials prove positive as well as negative these must be valued as anecdotal. If Caralluma is your preferred choice my advice would be to not enter into a "Free Trial" program, but just purchase a one off offer and take it from there. My reservations are explained below.
User's Rating(3/5):

Important note:
i) Consumer complaints we've unearthed allege that this company does not honor it's money back guarantee policy.
ii) This product is distributed by Brock Felt and MarqiLife. MarqiLife are distributors of Nite Trim and BetaFuel which have also received deceptive billing practiced technique complaints: See here
iii) Brock Felt and MarqiLife failed to inform it's customers in 2008 that it was passing off an ephedra based product, as the ban was reinstated in 2006.
iv) Brock Felt and MarqiLife offer free trial incentive offers. Simply put such offers are an attempt to lure you into a recurring billing program which can be extremely difficult to get out from.
